The R.E.A.L. Skills Collaborative is a strategic partner of Here’s 2 Life. The Collaborative is a group of stakeholders in the public and private sectors who view children’s lives as worthy of investment. Their mission is to teach and model social, emotional, and communication [SEC] skills to be a resilient, enterprising and adaptable leader. Students learn skills to excel in school and beyond, whether they enter the workforce, or choose to pursue higher education, an apprenticeship, or the military. A guided process of self-discovery, goal setting and project-based learning provides teaching, learning, and enrichment opportunities that build empathy, compassion, and emotional intelligence. Emphasis is on social and social awareness, both of which are required for critical thinking, optimal decision making, and effective communication.
